"The Comedy of Errors is a play by William Shakespeare that was first published and performed in 1594. It is a farce about two sets of identical twins who were separated shortly after birth. A farce is a type of comedy that relies on slapstick, puns, and wordplay for humor. As the title of the play suggests, a large part of the humor of this play comes from characters making errors or mistakes with their identities."
